Seeking Guidance on Enhancing Drone Flight Duration with Smart GPS Solutions Drone Flights

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a personal drone project where the main goal is to increase flight time and efficiency using smart GPS integration. So far, I’ve been experimenting with basic GPS modules, but I’m running into challenges like signal dropouts during longer flights and difficulties with consistent route tracking.

I’ve seen some developers use AI techniques to predict and correct flight paths in real-time. Is there a practical way to integrate deep learning or similar models for this? Also, are there recommended GPS modules or companion boards that pair well with such approaches?

I’m relatively new to the machine learning side of things, so any suggestions, sample projects, or even beginner-friendly documentation would be a huge help.

I have not used drone AI yet, but would suggest if you want to “increase flight time and efficiency” that you first focus on the design, construction and tuning of the vehicle, which I’m pretty sure will have a much greater impact. I would explore designs that optimize battery size, vehicle size and cost. eCalc for multi rotor is a nice program to help with that.

Tuning will also optimize flight efficiency.
