Rangefinder i2c configuration

Hi

Can someone please confirm if this course lesson’s tf mini plus -

has been configured using these recommendations -

In other words is it essential to manually change the rangefinder’s mode from UART to I2C for it to work? I ask because the course’s uart option isn’t working for me.

I don’t know if you have the same setup but the results of a search for “TFmini Plus and Navio 2 pinouts” (no quotes) shows my experience with the TFmini Plus. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your willingness to help. I accidentally bought the wrong i2csplitter so will have to try again to buy one that’s compatible. Thereafter I’ll be able to try your suggestion. Cheers
