In both my installation and in the Oracle VM, sim_vehicle.py is in ~/courseRoot/apm/ardupilot/Tools/autotest/.

Hey there,
When you first download the github repo, you need to run “Tools/environment_install/install-prereqs-ubuntu.sh -y” from the ardupilot main directory.
Then you can go to ardupilot/ArduCopter and run “…/Tools/autoset/sim_vehicle.py -f gazebo-iris” and hopefully then it should work just fine!
